Final podcast- Girl Talk
I found background information on Girl Talk, I discovered the programs he used, I interviewed a fellow student on her opinions on the subject. I also gave my own final opinions. I included a sample track list of songs to create one of Girl Talk’s full songs. -Marcey Cook
Final Podcasts
For my final podcast, I chose to analyze something that we have been talking about all year, copyright infringement lawsuits. Only this time, I look at it from both sides, and offer some sympathy to the record companies which everyone seems to hate. My intention was not to defend them, but rather show that there are two sides to this story.
Final Project
For my final project, I talked about a impressive Mash up collaberation called super mash brothers. The two guys who made it are Nick Fenamore and Dick Fink from the west coast. They’re mash ups in my opinion are a bit better than girl talk and are fun to listen to. They also went to college near us at JMU.
Fin!
For my final project, I chose to interview five people, ages ranging from 14 to 56, and ask them what they knew, if anything about mashup and remix culture and music. After compiling the interviews and playing samples for those who didn’t know what a mashup/remix was, I asked them their opinon on the new form of music storming the world. The results? Tune in to see!

Future of Social Networking
My final podcast is basically examining where social networking has been, and where it could be going in the future (now that we are about to enter a new decade.) It’s pretty interesting to think about how much has developed in such a short time, but that also makes it a little more difficult to figure out exactly how social networking will happen later on. Everyone knows the major networking sites (Twitter, etc.) but will another site take over in a few years and leave the rest in the history books? Only time (and a couple hundred million users) will tell.

Problems with the Current Copyright Law
My final podcast can be located here on the Zombie5 podcasting website. There you can find a brief description about the podcast (how copyright laws have changed from their original purpose, their current status, and what the future holds for them) as well as the entire podcast itself.
