Every year it seems as if technology is getting better and better. There is always something new and improved that everyone must have. In the early 2000’s it was the ipod then in 2008 it was the Apple Itouch. In 2010 Verizon stepped up to the plate and made a new phone called the Droid with Apple. Verizon advertized this phone by bashing the Iphone. It said that it had bad battery power, wasn’t durable, and couldn’t hold as many applications. One may ask how is Apple turning Verizon instead of AT&T? Well with Verizon Apple is getting more profit and a lot more publicity. Which one do you prefer?
Verizon Droit:
Cost: 199 dollars
Benefits: Holds more applications and has google applications, touch screen and keyboard, records videos and takes pictures
Disadvantages: large, hard to fit in pockets, expensive, there is a lot of information on about it.
Iphone
Cost: 199 dollars
Benefits: Comes in different colors, hold music on it, attractive setting, touch screen
Disadvantages: Breaks easily, doesn’t have a good battery for power.

I had never heard of this before and I am in fact someone with Verizon. I suppose that they didn’t do too good a job advertising.. as I am always up for a new phone idea. I love the iPhone though.. all my friends have it. When will Verizon ever realize they need to get it!?
I think this just shows how much of a powerhouse Apple is. Verizon and AT&T are arguably the two largest mobile phone carriers in the country, and Apple is able to make a deal, and more importantly, make money off of both of them. If a smaller company were to attempt that, chances are that one or even either of the companies would deny them, but Apple was done the seemingly impossible, and have taken over all aspects of the communication and entertainment world.
